  • Tattoo Desperation

I only have 2 tattoos (3 if you count the ones on my wrists as separate entities). My first one I got when I was 20 (on the back of my neck) is an infinity symbol and my wrist ones, which say Live Today and Love Today, I got about 2 months ago. Now I'm desperate for my next one and when I say desperate I'm not even kidding. I have no idea how much it's going to cost or which artist I'm going to but I'm broke right now so I know I won't be going for a little bit but I can't stop thinking about it. It's taking over my head. I know I'm getting a poppy flower with the dates of my grandfather's birth and death. I was going to get it on my foot but I'm terrified and so I decided to get it on my calf instead. Also a new addition to this is somewhere with it I want to get the words "I'm on the edge with you" which is from Lady Gaga's song Edge of Glory. The reason I added the Lady Gaga lyrics is because I absolutely adore Lady Gaga and I knew I wanted to get a tattoo of something to do with Lady Gaga but I wasn't about to go all out and tattoo her face on me or anything (I'm not that much of a "Little Monster") and she wrote that song for her grandfather who recently passed away so it seemed fitting. I'm really excited because this will be my first tattoo with colour also. It'll be my biggest and longest tattoo to do also but in the least painful spot of all my other ones (the back of my neck killed!) I think for now I'm just going to satisfy myself by drawing out what I want in different ways so that I have some art to bring to the artist when I finally do go. I'll post pictures if I ever get around to drawing out a nice one with colour.

  • My Style

My style is somewhat lacking. Actually, that's an understatement. I haven't ever had tons of money to shop and therefore most of my clothes have come from Wal-Mart or somewhere equally inexpensive. I've also changed my style so many times over the years that I've amassed a lot of clothes that don't go together at all and a lot of clothes I wouldn't be caught dead in these days. I've also changed sizes a lot over the years so I have a lot of clothes that don't fit at all.  I even have clothes that I've had since I was 16; ugly graphic tees and unflattering jeans. I'm reaching a point in my life where I want to start dressing like an adult but I'm having trouble with it all. I know when something is nice and when I like something but when it comes to actually shopping or putting an outfit together I get so confused and I end up with things that don't go at all together and then they just sit in the back of my closet. I actually always thought I should have been one of the people on What Not To Wear.

I'm starting a new career this year, well actually I'll be going back to school in September and then in June I'll be starting my career from there. It's my first time going into any sort of professional/office setting and I have no idea how to dress for this. I've been in school rather than working most of my life where I could pretty much wear whatever I wanted (within reason). This made me automatically go towards anything comfortable, alas I own a lot of leggings, sweatpants and oversized t-shirts and sweaters. So with all this in mind I went on Polyvore.com today and made these outfits just to see what I could come up with on my own with no help whatsoever. I'm really starting to think about my wardrobe because within the next two months I have to buy enough clothes to last me everyday at school (we have a dress code, basically we have to dress as if we're already working) and I want the clothes I buy for school to be able to last me for work as well. So here's my first attempt at work wear. When I was making these outfits I was really trying to challenge myself to think outside of my own comfort zone. I was trying to use more color than I would normally be drawn to especially. The next thing I'm going to try and do with these looks is use some of the same pieces to create other looks because not only do I need a new wardrobe but I need a versatile new wardrobe.

This is probably my most favorite outfit of the bunch. I like the pop of red (I'm not usually much of a color-wearer, I tend to wear a lot of neutrals). I also love that it looks professional but comfortable, that's important to me.

Now this outfit is really different for me. It's very form fitting and a lot of color. I love yellow but I've never worn it like this before. My favourite part of this outfit is the shoes.

I really like the "sailor style" blue, red and white with stripes. I love stripes! I might wear this with nylons or some kind of printed tight though if it was for work and I would definitely get shorter heels.

This is my second favorite outfit. It's a lot more professional looking to me than the first one. There's something about gray and pink that makes me so happy.

So what do you think of my looks?

    So maybe I'm obsessed.

I don't know what else to call it.

Without realizing, I've watched 2 Bradley Cooper movies in the past week, The Hangover and Limitless.

Without realizing I've Googled his name more this week than is considered normal.

So, just because, here are some pictures of Bradley Cooper <3

    Your welcome.
